whirlygig wonderwomen swinging circles    of star eyes gazing     holding my wish    with short pins and long visions    pausing at tranquil nights    and Sunday sabbaths to sew humble triangles into    pinwheels, squares, rooster crowns’ wise bright jive calico intensions primary pizzicato colors a crosshatch herringbone stitch pastel hourglass blues drunkard’s path to revelation
a maple leaf rag shedding off-beat joys
